Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Darrell Shane (ranked 5748 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Swarleyman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Darrell Shane!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bob Swarleyman!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Hirohito Nitta and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shane swats away the attempt to clinch by Swarleyman.
Shane misses with a body shot.

Swarleyman closes the distance and clinches.
A short uppercut from Shane.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Swarleyman.
Shane content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Swarleyman is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Shane gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Shane tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Swarleyman turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Shane gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Shane looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Shane keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Shane on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Shane tries to get out of the position.
Shane tries to roll over but Swarleyman keeps him under control.

Shane trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!

Swarleyman working for a submission but Shane is keeping him at bay.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Swarleyman unloads with some shots from mount but Shane bucks and avoids them well.
Swarleyman throws a wild left hand from mount and Shane manages to wriggle his way back to half guard.
Swarleyman stops Shane from getting back to his feet.

Shane has one foot on Swarleyman's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Shane uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Swarleyman has time to react.
Shane throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Swarleyman.
Swarleyman throws a counter combo.
Shane lands the left hand.
Shane defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Swarleyman.
Shane throws a big shot that misses.
Swarleyman throws a big counter head kick but Shane avoids it with no problem.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A big right from Shane misses.
Shane throws an overhand right that lands on Swarleyman's shoulder, as Swarleyman tries to avoid the shot.
It seemed like Swarleyman was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Shane getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Swarleyman checks a low kick from Shane.
Shane misses with a looping right.
Shane misses with a hook.
Shane sets himself, and Swarleyman steps forward looking for the clinch! Shane avoids it this time.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Shane!
Swarleyman moves out of range of the strikes.
Shane misses with a hook.

Swarleyman shoots in and bounces Shane off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Shane uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Swarleyman wants to clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Shane throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Shane takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Shane takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Shane tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Swarleyman was well out of range. Poor timing from Shane.
Shane misses with an uppercut. Swarleyman saw that one coming.
Shane feints a jab promting Swarleyman to slip. Shane then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Swarleyman slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Shane misses with a two punch combination.
Swarleyman tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Shane gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Swarleyman to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Shane wriggles free and stands up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Swarleyman.
Darrell Shane has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bob Swarleyman.
Shane misses with an uppercut.
Darrell Shane is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Swarleyman keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Shane.
Swarleyman takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Some bone on bone action there as Swarleyman checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Shane fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Swarleyman checks it well.
A punch combination from Shane misses.
Swarleyman pivots, looking for a leg kick but Shane is out of range and Swarleyman settles back down.
Shane will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Some wild striking there from Shane.
Swarleyman tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Darrell Shane dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!



Swarleyman moves into the clinch.
Shane tries to work over Swarleyman's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Shane scores with a shot to the side of Swarleyman's head.
Swarleyman dodges an elbow strike from Shane.
Shane gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Swarleyman.
Shane lands a hook to the side of the head.
Shane misses with a punch on the inside.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Shane.
Swarleyman jumps guard but Shane turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Swarleyman manages to break the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A slow jab from Shane misses its intended target.
Shane lands a jab.
Shane connects with a right hand. Swarleyman shakes it off.
Shane stuffs the takedown.
It looked like Shane was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Darrell Shane has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bob Swarleyman.

Swarleyman ducks under a wild hook from Shane.
Darrell Shane seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Swarleyman looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Shane is fending him off so far but Swarleyman persists. Nope, Shane circles away and we're back to standing.
Shane lands with a shot to the body.
Shane keeps the fight on the outside.
Shane connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Shane throws a hook but Swarleyman blocks it.

Shane misses with an uppercut. Swarleyman saw that one coming.
Shane throws a hook but Swarleyman avoids it easily.
Some bone on bone action there as Swarleyman checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Swarleyman tries to counter with a clinch but Shane shakes him off and moves away.
Swarleyman fails to land the takedown.
Swarleyman throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Shane's waist but Shane gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Swarleyman off to one side.
Swarleyman is breathing heavily.
Swarleyman moves out of range of the strikes.
Shane with a jab.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Shane throws out a loose jab but Swarleyman uses good head movement to avoid it.
Swarleyman tries to counter with a clinch but Shane shakes him off and moves away.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Swarleyman.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Shane's jab looks to have found its range, popping Swarleyman under the eye.


Swarleyman is rocked!
Shane will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Shane connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Swarleyman is still on wobbly legs! Can Shane finish him?
Shane walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Swarleyman drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Shane swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Swarleyman's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:40 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Darrell Shane!
