Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bruno Rex!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Diego Santos!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Russell Pearce and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Santos moves into the clinch.

Rex pulls guard effortlessly.
Rex bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Santos's guard.

Santos wants to sweep here but Rex controlling him for the moment.

Santos throws a right hand that Rex ducks under and follows up with a left that Rex also avoids with ease.

Santos gets through Rex's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Santos pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

Santos escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

and Rex counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Bruno Rex will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
