The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martinez tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Onyedikachi feints the counter takedown.
Martinez slips a jab and a cross from Onyedikachi.
Martinez closes the distance and clinches up with Onyedikachi, looking for a takedown. Martinez pushes Onyedikachi against the cage but Onyedikachi circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Onyedikachi! But no joy.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Martinez has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Onyedikachi can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Onyedikachi gets to his feet and stands over Martinez, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Martinez felt that one! Onyedikachi unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Martinez from any more punishment!
