Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Narek Sirakanian (ranked 1232 p4p, 157 weight class) and Billy Jack (ranked 1612 p4p, 202 weight class). Jack has chosen The Legend of Billy Jack as his entrance music. The key to victory for Narek Sirakanian has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jack throws a leg kick but Sirakanian checks it.
Jack doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Jack takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Sirakanian misses with a straight left.
Jack ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Jack throws a right hand that misses
and Sirakanian counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Sirakanian throws a lazy right hand but Jack sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Sirakanian throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Jack sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Sirakanian on the wrong end of a nice jab.

It looks like Narek Sirakanian has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sirakanian lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Narek Sirakanian seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jack throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Sirakanian lands a jab to Jack's midsection.

Jack steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.

Sirakanian wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Sirakanian misses with an uppercut. Jack saw that one coming.
Sirakanian connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Jack momentarily.
Jack uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Sirakanian.
Sirakanian swings for the body but Jack moves out of range.

and Jack counters with an inside leg kick.
Sirakanian lands with a good body shot.
Sirakanian lands a jab to the head.
Sirakanian ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Jack uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Sirakanian.

Sirakanian attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
A big left from Jack misses.
An attempted straight right counter from Sirakanian misses the target.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Jack pulls guard successfully.
Jack lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Jack is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Sirakanian avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sirakanian can't keep his opponent in guard - Jack advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Sirakanian tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Jack has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Sirakanian tries to hold on but Jack pushes him away.

Jack has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Sirakanian's face.

Jack lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Jack cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Jack has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Sirakanian takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Sirakanian tries to lock up and control but Jack gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
My spies in Fist of Fury Training Center inform me that Jack has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

The referee warns Sirakanian that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Jack is in the full mount, landing strikes.

Jack is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Sirakanian can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
A big strike lands for Jack! That's really hurt Sirakanian and he's turned his back - Jack keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Jack jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
