The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Destroyer throws a jab when Merlin was well out of range.
Merlin swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Destroyer moves into the clinch successfully.
Merlin drops down looking for an ankle pick but Destroyer pulls his leg out and moves away.
Destroyer pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Merlin avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Destroyer throws a low kick but Merlin avoids it.
Destroyer throws a right hand that Merlin ducks under and follows up with a left that Merlin also avoids with ease.
Destroyer tries to score with a low kick but Merlin moves his leg out of the way.
Destroyer blocks a jab.
A looping hook to the body misses from Destroyer. Merlin does a little dance to reset his feet.
Merlin connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Nice sprawl there from Destroyer as Merlin shoots in.
Merlin tries to bum rush Destroyer with a series of wild strikes but Destroyer uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Destroyer throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Destroyer with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Merlin looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Destroyer!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Merlin has hold of Destroyer's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Destroyer seems comfortable defending it but Merlin has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Destroyer is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Destroyer is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Merlin couldn't care less - he's delighted!
