The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silva has taken the fight to the clinch.
Silva jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Powell walks away with a smile on his face. Silva gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Nice takedown defense from Powell. No joy for Silva on that attempt.
The fight stays on the outside here - Silva looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Anderson Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silva misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Kent Powell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Anderson Silva.
Silva misses with an uppercut. Powell saw that one coming.
Silva tries a head kick but it misses.
