Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Aku Serronen (ranked 1666 p4p, 209 weight class) and Jeff Romart (ranked 3243 p4p, 369 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Serronen lands with a shot to the body.
Romart cracks Serronen with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Serronen misses with a hook. Romart ducked under it nicely.
Romart thows a left - swing and a miss!
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Serronen.
Romart misses with a wild combination.
Serronen digs a good body shot into Romart's ribs.
Serronen cracks Romart with a right hand to the side of the head.

Romart throws a front kick aimed at Serronen's knee but Serronen avoids it well.
Romart jabs Serronen to the body, keeping him at a distance.

Serronen cracks the inside of Romart's front leg.
Romart finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Jeff Romart seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Serronen checks a leg kick.
Romart throws a low kick but it's checked well by Serronen.

Serronen connects with a body shot.
Serronen clobbers Romart with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Serronen throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.

Serronen cracks Romart with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Serronen has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Romart to stand back up!

Romart is rocked!

Romart is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Serronen doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Romart crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Romart's bad books for that mishap!
