The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fremont wants to clinch but Nunez slips to the side

and Nunez counters with a single leg into guard. Fremont didn't expect that.
Nunez is standing up over Fremont. Fremont looks to escape but Nunez dives into side control.

Nunez decides to take the fight back to the feet.
A big right from Nunez misses.
Fremont moves to clinch but Nunez breaks away

so Nunez counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Nunez gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Nunez throws a head kick but Fremont moves out of range.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Nunez has closed the distance and engaged Fremont in a clinch.
Nunez content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Fremont stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Nunez tries to break free but Fremont pushes him back against the cage.

Nunez could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Nunez tries to stall but Fremont uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Fremont keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Nunez's efforts to push away.

Nunez escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Fremont fails in his attempt to clinch.
A little feinted left hand from Nunez on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Fremont dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Nunez is breathing heavily.
Fremont scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

It looks like Nick Nunez has been cut.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Fremont.
Fremont tries to clinch up.
Fremont tries to clinch there but Nunez circles away.
Nunez lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Fremont moves in looking to clinch but Nunez pushes him off.

Nunez appears to be looking for a counter takedown.

Fremont lands a big head kick that sends Nunez tumbling to the mat! Fremont takes a step backwards and waves Nunez back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Nunez is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Fremont tries to close the distance and clinch up but Nunez swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Oh Nunez is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Fremont moves into range and clinches up with Nunez.
Knees to the body from Fremont.
Fremont dips a shoulder and cracks Nunez with a mighty uppercut! Nunez falls back against the cage and Fremont unloads with a barrage of strikes! Nunez is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Fremont screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
