PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Benz Bulver (ranked 3318 p4p, 355 weight class) and Edvard Grieg (ranked 2020 p4p, 236 weight class). Bulver kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Little Eagle Soars. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bulver throws a hook but Grieg avoids it easily.
Grieg ducks under a wild hook from Bulver.
Grieg follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.
Bulver throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Bulver scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Bulver uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Grieg.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bulver is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Grieg tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bulver sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Grieg somewhat.
Grieg moves forwards but Bulver connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Bulver pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Grieg back to the cage. Bulver follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

and Grieg finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Grieg fails to land the takedown.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Bulver sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
A left lands for Bulver.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
