Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Vardaman Bundren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gyolda Swanson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Luis Engracia and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Swanson checks a leg kick.

Bundren shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Swanson wants to improve his position but Bundren is controlling well.
Swanson moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Swanson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bundren can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Bundren would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Bundren stuffs the takedown attempt from Swanson. Swanson gets slowly back to his feet.

Bundren's corner calls for a 1-2. Bundren obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Bundren fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Swanson manages to avoid it.
Bundren cracks Swanson with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

and Swanson makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

Bundren throws a left and a right that both miss

and Swanson counters with a nice double leg into side control. Bundren won't be happy with that.

Swanson is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Bundren has escaped the position, nice work there.
Bundren can't do much from the bottom here.
Bundren is looking to reverse the position.

Swanson wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Bundren, who protects the arm well.
Bundren is trying to buck Swanson off.
Swanson is looking to take a break and control but Bundren is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Swanson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bundren looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Swanson decides to stand up, so the ref orders Bundren to his feet.
Bundren moves in looking to clinch but Swanson pushes him off.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Bundren misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Swanson takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

and Swanson counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Bundren!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Despite being in the dominant position, Gyolda Swanson just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
The fight stays on the outside here - Bundren looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Gyolda Swanson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Bundren's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Swanson had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Bundren is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Swanson Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Bundren's back instead.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Swanson holds on and takes a little breather.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Vardaman Bundren.
I think Bundren has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
