Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kalle Karlsson (ranked 1806 p4p, 51 weight class) and Yayi Zinsou (ranked 4354 p4p, 107 weight class). Karlsson comes to the cage accompanied by Carolus Rex - Sabaton. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Yayi Zinsou enters the cage!

The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Franklyn Lucas and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zinsou with a poor takedown
and Zinsou takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
It looks like Yayi Zinsou has been cut.
Zinsou tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Karlsson makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Zinsou scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Zinsou fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Karlsson moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

and Karlsson counters with a stiff right hand.
Kalle Karlsson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yayi Zinsou.
Zinsou shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Karlsson defends it nicely.
Karlsson leaves Zinsou with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Karlsson is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Zinsou misses with a takedown attempt - Karlsson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Yayi Zinsou seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Zinsou tries for a takedown but Karlsson circles away easily
enabling Karlsson to counter with a crisp jab.
Zinsou changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Karlsson tries to avoid it but Zinsou manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Karlsson to the ground. Karlsson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Zinsou doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Karlsson counters with a beautiful right hand that knocks Zinsou out cold! What a finish! Karlsson is going crazy, running around the mat, summersaulting off the corner posts and screaming into the cameras. Something tells me he's pretty happy!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Kalle Karlsson!
A relieved looking Kalle Karlsson thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
