Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Johnnie Tanner (ranked 6052 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bryson Murdock (ranked 4914 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Johnnie Tanner! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bryson Murdock! The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Colin Fray and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Murdock darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Murdock slows the pace down in half guard. Tanner avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Murdock. Murdock looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Murdock missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Murdock tries to stand but can't do so whilst Tanner controls his leg. Tanner wants to control but Murdock is keeping busy and won't allow it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Murdock postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Tanner to stand up. Tanner moves in looking to clinch but Murdock pushes him off. Murdock swats away the attempt to clinch by Tanner. Murdock is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Murdock shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Tanner's guard. Murdock engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Tanner really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Tanner trying to keep a closed guard but Murdock is proving a slippery customer.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Murdock seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Tanner is trying to keep Murdock in close.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Murdock closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Murdock manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Murdock is controlling Tanner's posture. Murdock has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Tanner has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage. Murdock looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Tanner ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Tanner no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Murdock content to stall in guard here. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Murdock shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Murdock with the ground and pound but Tanner uses the opportunity to regain guard. Tanner tries to land a sweep but no joy. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tanner trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Murdock is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Tanner is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Tanner has escaped and now he's on top! Tanner trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Murdock is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Tanner throwing strikes but missing. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Murdock uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Bryson Murdock seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tanner gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Murdock to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Murdock perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Murdock looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Murdock controlling the action here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tanner has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Murdock is working away from the top position though. Tanner is pressing down on Murdock's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Murdock seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Tanner trying to control the position.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Murdock keeps the fight on the outside. Tanner pushes Murdock up against the cage in a clinch. Murdock manages to pull guard.
Murdock seems keen to control Tanner's posture. Murdock is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Tanner wants to stand and escape but instead Murdock has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Bryson Murdock showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Murdock shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Tanner napping and manages to drive through into side control! Murdock decides to stand back up. Murdock steps back and let's Tanner get back to his feet. Tanner tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Murdock gets a double leg takedown into Tanner's guard. Murdock is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Murdock missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Murdock with a flurry of punches that miss.
That's one minute gone in the round. Murdock works a leg free and moves into half guard. Murdock performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Bryson Murdock has got the better of the ground game so far. Tanner blocking the ground and pound attempt from Murdock. Murdock is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Tanner manages to get to full guard. Murdock not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Both fighters are breathing heavily. Murdock stands and throws Tanner's legs to the side, diving into side control. Murdock decides to stand back up. Murdock steps back and let's Tanner get back to his feet. Tanner looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Murdock is fending him off so far but Tanner persists. Nope, Murdock circles away and we're back to standing. Tanner closes the distance looking to clinch and Murdock counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Murdock gets in close and instigates a clinch. The referee calls for Murdock to work.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Murdock sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Tanner defending well though. Murdock seems to be working for a kimura but Tanner defends the submission attempt. Tanner actively working from the bottom here. Murdock throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Johnnie Tanner has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Bryson Murdock is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. And that's the end of the fight! Bryson Murdock comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Murdock has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
