Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Tristan Roach (ranked 25093 p4p, 0 weight class) and Man Soo Hjung (ranked 6837 p4p, 0 weight class). Hjung has chosen Korean National Anthem as his entrance music. Tristan Roach has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Man Soo Hjung!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Paulsen Ambrosius and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roach dodges the punch combination from Hjung.
Roach is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Hjung misses with a jab, cross combination.
Roach attempts a counter takedown but Hjung avoids it well and moves away.
Hjung is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Hjung will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Hjung fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Roach is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Hjung is controlling him.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Hjung gets to his feet. Roach looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Hjung darts in and clinches Roach up against the cage.

Hjung manages to break the clinch.

Hjung closes the distance and clinches.

Hjung pushes Roach back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Hjung has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Roach uses from the top position.

Roach has gone for a leg lock! Hjung slips out almost immediately though and dives into Roach's guard.

Hjung got a little sloppy there for a moment and Roach has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hjung has managed to get both his arms back between Roach's legs - danger averted.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Hjung takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Hjung breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Hjung has managed to clinch.
Hjung lands a right hand that snaps the head of Roach backwards.
Hjung lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Hjung gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Hjung is taking a breather. Roach says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Roach tries to get to full guard but Hjung has control of the leg.
Roach pushes Hjung off looking to stand but Hjung dives back in and keeps control.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Hjung is working for a kimura here but Roach manages to reverse the position and he's now in Hjung's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Hjung creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Hjung is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.

Hjung has Roach pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Hjung pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Roach tumbling to the mat - Hjung dives into Roach's guard.

Hjung shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Roach's guard.

Roach is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Hjung presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Well Hjung has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
