PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tyson Parker (ranked 5395 p4p, 531 weight class) and Yanji Klushinwa (ranked 5544 p4p, 535 weight class). Parker comes to the cage accompanied by Girls Like You. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Yanji Klushinwa!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Dirk Anderson and Santiago Holmes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Parker clobbers Klushinwa with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Klushinwa drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Klushinwa is staying tight to Parker's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Parker pushes Klushinwa away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Klushinwa gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Parker on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Parker tries to get out of the position.
Parker is trying to get back to his feet.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Parker gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Klushinwa counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Parker!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Parker is trying to control Klushinwa's posture but Klushinwa avoids it.

Klushinwa is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Parker looking to sit in guard and control but Klushinwa gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Klushinwa is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Parker closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Parker lands in his opponent's guard.

Parker is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Klushinwa is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Klushinwa has escaped and now he's on top!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Parker wants to get back to his feet.
Klushinwa has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Parker shoots in for a takedown but Klushinwa shows good takedown defense.

Yanji Klushinwa showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Parker's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Tyson Parker has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Yanji Klushinwa is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Yanji Klushinwa comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Klushinwa has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Yanji Klushinwa decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
The defeated Tyson Parker had this to say: 'I shouldn't be losing to bums like him. The algorithm of the game is broken. '.
