Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Preston Wiggins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kenneth Bonner!
The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, Francis DeMontford and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bonner throws a wild body kick that Wiggins sees coming a mile off.
Wiggins checks a low kick from Bonner.
Bonner with a nice cross.

Wiggins clinches up with Bonner and pushes him back against the cage.
Wiggins goes for a takedown in the clinch but Bonner prevents it.
Wiggins tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Bonner just stands there and leans against the cage.

Wiggins escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Wiggins gets tackled into the cage by Bonner. Bonner maintains the clinch.

Wiggins breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Bonner jabs Wiggins to the body, keeping him at a distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Wiggins shoots in and bounces Bonner off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Bonner has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Wiggins has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Wiggins accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Wiggins gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Bonner jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Wiggins walks away with a smile on his face. Bonner gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Wiggins blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Bonner tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Wiggins swivels and escapes.
Bonner throws a nice looking combination but Wiggins bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Kenneth Bonner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wiggins tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bonner paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Bonner throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Wiggins's waist but Wiggins gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bonner off to one side.

Wiggins escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Wiggins pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Wiggins shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Bonner sprawls well. Bonner wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Wiggins gets slowly back to his feet.
It seemed like Bonner was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Wiggins shoots in for a takedown but Bonner shows good takedown defense.

Wiggins has had enough of the clinch but Bonner keeps him there for the moment.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Wiggins with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Wiggins throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Bonner works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Bonner changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Wiggins tries to avoid it but Bonner manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Wiggins to the ground. Wiggins escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Preston Wiggins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kenneth Bonner.

Wiggins tries to clinch there but Bonner circles away.
Wiggins stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Wiggins wants it to stay on the feet.

Wiggins closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Bonner did well to prevent Wiggins getting side control.

Bonner is trying to stand up here but Wiggins is controlling him well.
The fighters are battling for position here. Bonner manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Bonner controls Wiggins momentarily but Wiggins frees himself.

Bonner is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Wiggins is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Bonner is just riding it out for now. Wiggins eventually gives up the hold.
Bonner looks like he's trying to stand up.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

You get the feeling that Bonner really doesn't like being in this position too much.

And that's the end of the fight!
Preston Wiggins showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Bonner has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
