Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Emil Harrington (ranked 25295 p4p, 0 weight class) and Justin Drake (ranked 7160 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Emil Harrington!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Justin Drake!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Robert Twigg and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drake throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Harrington rushes Drake and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Drake is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Harrington is keeping busy.
Drake should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Drake is trying to break free.
Harrington jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Drake walks away with a smile on his face. Harrington gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Drake tries to keep at a distance but Harrington has taken the fight into the clinch.
Drake swings away with an uppercut that misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Harrington has Drake pressed against the cage, preventing Drake from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Drake misses with a body punch.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.

Harrington breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Harrington throws a series of punches but Drake moves out of range.
Harrington takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Harrington has Drake pressed against the cage, preventing Drake from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Harrington really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Drake tries to break the clinch but Harrington is controlling the position.

Harrington escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Drake throws a head kick that misses

and Harrington decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Drake's guard.

Drake can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Harrington controls the pace.
Drake is looking to stand up but Harrington isn't so interested in that idea.
Harrington postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Harrington has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Harrington is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Drake is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Drake has escaped and now he's on top!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Harrington pushes Drake off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Drake pulls out of a head kick attempt.

and Harrington counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Drake is trying to force a seperation but Harrington has the dominant position.
Drake looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Harrington goes for a takedown attempt but Drake pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Crunch! Drake slams his shin into Harrington's torso.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Harrington is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Harrington seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Drake working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Harrington doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Harrington manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Harrington, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
