Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Harrison Maldonado!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dariusz Kucharski!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, George Francis and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kucharski gets a double leg takedown into Maldonado's guard.
Kucharski preventing the sweep.

Kucharski postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Kucharski changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Maldonado looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

It looks like Kucharski might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kucharski lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Maldonado down.
Kucharski takes a little break here. Maldonado wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Maldonado is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Kucharski tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Maldonado defends well and Kucharski ends up having to push Maldonado into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Kucharski circles away from the clinch attempt.
A swing and a miss from Kucharski.
Kucharski fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Maldonado manages to avoid it.
Maldonado tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kucharski swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Maldonado moves into the clinch successfully.

Maldonado misses with a hook to the ribs.
Kucharski is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Maldonado is pushing Kucharski up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Harrison Maldonado has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dariusz Kucharski.

Maldonado's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

and Maldonado counters with a three punch combo that has Kucharski backing up. Kucharski nods at Maldonado to acknowledge the strikes.

Kucharski throws a hook but Maldonado blocks it.
Maldonado really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Nice straight punches there by Kucharski. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Kucharski.

It looks like Harrison Maldonado has been cut.

Kucharski lands a huge takedown. Maldonado is out but the ref is slow to react and Kucharski lands 3 more undefended punches before the fight is stopped. Brutal finish. Maldonado lies on the canvas for a good minute before the doctors bring him round. Good to see he's OK.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:19 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dariusz Kucharski!
