Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hamish Reid (ranked 856 p4p, 97 weight class) and Bornas Lopette (ranked 972 p4p, 110 weight class). Lopette has chosen Root Of All Evil as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reid scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Hamish Reid seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Reid wants to clinch.
Lopette scores with a push kick.
Lopette displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Reid throws out the jab.
Lopette swings for the body but Reid moves out of range.
Lopette throws a lazy head kick
and Reid counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Reid closes the distance and clinches.
Lopette tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

Reid manages to break the clinch.
Lopette has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Lopette there as he acknowledges the shot.
Lopette avoids the head kick by Reid.
A swing and a miss from Reid.
And Lopette responds with a good body kick, but Reid manages to step out the way in time.
Reid doesn't manage to clinch there - Lopette circles away.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Lopette! But no joy.
Lopette throws a body kick that misses.

Reid cracks Lopette with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Reid has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Lopette to stand back up!

Lopette is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Reid sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Lopette's defenses. It connects perfectly with Lopette's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!
