Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nick Bonner (ranked 6737 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyler Jones (ranked 3317 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jones bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Jones wants to stand but Bonner has his arm trapped.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee asks Jones politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Jones prefers to stall for the moment though.
Bonner is trying to buck Jones off.
Bonner is looking for a sweep.
You can see the frustration on Bonner's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Jones has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Jones looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bonner is fending him off so far but Jones persists. Nope, Bonner circles away and we're back to standing.
Bonner fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bonner shoots in looking for a takedown. Jones tries to sprawl out of it but Bonner keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jones manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

The referee asks Jones politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Jones prefers to stall for the moment though.
Let's hope that Jones has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Jones is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Bonner is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Bonner is looking for a sweep.
Bonner is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Bonner keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
Bonner really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Jones in particular looking to stall.

Bonner wants to control but Jones is keeping busy.
Jones content to control rather than advance.
Jones moves into full mount! Bonner won't be happy about that!
Jones controlling the pace for now.
Bonner tries to hold on but Jones pushes him away.
Jones sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Jones scores with a couple of good head shots there.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bonner is breathing heavily.
Jones tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Bonner is looking to get to half guard.
Jones content just to control the position here.

Jones working for a submission but Bonner is keeping him at bay.
Bonner wants to control but Jones is having none of it.
Bonner is trying to reverse the position but instead Jones has taken his back - oops!

Jones controlling the position well here. Bonner rolled but Jones kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

Jones lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK.
Jones is riding his opponent, not letting Bonner buck him off.

Jones is working for the choke. It looks like he might have got it... has he...? Yes! Bonner is tapping out! This one is all over!
