The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harrington throws a chopping leg kick but Laranja manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Harrington gets caught napping as Laranja dives in and scores a takedown. Harrington manages to retain guard.
Harrington wants to sweep here but Laranja controlling him for the moment.
Harrington is working hard here to advance position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Harrington lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Laranja is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
