Carrera is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: SOAD- Toxicity. Reno Carrera acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mathews closes the distance and pushes Carrera back into the cage.
Carrera lands a body punch.
Mathews tries for a takedown. No joy.
Mathews is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Carrera gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Carrera tightens his grip and picks Mathews up, before dumping him to the ground. Mathews manages to land in guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Carrera just content to control the position.
Carrera 's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Mathews wants to get back to his feet but Carrera drags him back down.

Carrera uses his free foot to push down on Mathews's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Mathews.
Mathews is trying to reverse the position but instead Carrera has taken his back - oops!

Mathews tries to escape but he's let his defenses down in doing so and Carrera has slipped in the rear naked choke! Oh, that's tiiiiiiiiight! Mathews is tapping! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
