The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chow shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and McNamara cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Chow takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

It looks like Oscar Chow has been cut.

McNamara has managed to clinch.

McNamara breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

McNamara drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and McNamara jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as McNamara accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Chow really doesn't want to stay on the ground with McNamara. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Chow can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as McNamara controls the pace.
McNamara loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

McNamara drops back looking for a leg! Chow is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Chow manages to kick McNamara off! McNamara jumps back into Chow's guard.

McNamara has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
