Good standup being displayed there by Silvera as he connects with a hook.
Submarine shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Silvera connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Nice shot lands for Silvera.
Submarine misses with a jab, cross combination.

Submarine gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
letting Silvera counter with a right hand.

Joao Silvera has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Johnny Submarine.
Silvera lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Submarine head around and knocks him out cold! Silvera hops onto the ropes and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Joao Silvera!
