Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Adan Taylor (ranked 25200 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hyrum Chadwick (ranked 5418 p4p, 0 weight class). Hyrum Chadwick is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Chadwick throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Taylor tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Chadwick is in Taylor's guard.

Taylor is looking to work some ground and pound but Chadwick has wrist control.
Chadwick is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Chadwick pulls Taylor in close to his closed guard and prevents Taylor from doing any damage or advancing position.
Taylor won't allow Chadwick to sweep him here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Chadwick seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Chadwick bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Taylor's guard.

Taylor has his foot on Chadwick's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Chadwick works his way back into a safe position though.

Chadwick tries to free his leg and advance position but Taylor is retaining full guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Chadwick accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Chadwick is looking to work some ground and pound but Taylor has wrist control.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Taylor misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Chadwick wants to counter with a clinch but Taylor pushes him away.
Chadwick slaps away a takedown attempt from Taylor, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Taylor gets tackled into the cage by Chadwick. Chadwick maintains the clinch.

Chadwick turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Chadwick manages to end up in side control.

Chadwick postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Chadwick is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Taylor to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Taylor shrugs it off.

Hyrum Chadwick showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Taylor throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Taylor loads up on a big right hand but Chadwick slips the punch.
Taylor misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A nice side step and Chadwick releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

Chadwick gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Chadwick has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Taylor is proving hard to escape from.
Taylor is trying to keep Chadwick in close.

Taylor isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Chadwick stacks Taylor on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Chadwick!

Chadwick is looking to take a break and control but Taylor is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Taylor misses with a takedown attempt - Chadwick sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
