The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cruz wants to clinch.
Baxter lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Cruz at a distance.
Cruz tries to clinch but Baxter moves out of range.
Cruz tries to close the distance and clinch but Baxter swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Cruz walks into a stiff left hand from Baxter .
Baxter fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Cruz walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Cruz takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Baxter connects with a solid leg kick.
Cruz tries to clinch up.
An attempted straight right counter from Baxter misses the target.

Cruz tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Baxter manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Cruz is still on wobbly legs! Can Baxter finish him?
Baxter connects with a stiff jab that staggers Cruz - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
