Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Louie Litt (ranked 1082 p4p, 150 weight class) and Mad Dog Iii (ranked 918 p4p, 123 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Louie Litt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mad Dog Iii!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Richard Clark and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dog Iii lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Dog Iii has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Litt looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Litt shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Dog Iii but Dog Iii pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Dog Iii gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Litt to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Dog Iii bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Litt's guard.


Litt escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Dog Iii gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Dog Iii must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Mad Dog Iii is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Dog Iii misses with a hook. Litt ducked under it nicely.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Louie Litt.
Well Litt has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
