Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sami Kykkonen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mirko Cop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Arvi Lind and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Cop looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Kykkonen fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Cop checks it well.
Cop tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kykkonen paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Cop tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kykkonen swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Kykkonen lands a with a good body shot.
Cop takes one on the chin but seems OK.
It looks like Mirko Cop has been cut.
Cop tries to clinch but Kykkonen is having none of it.
Cop checks a leg kick.
Kykkonen misses with a low kick as Cop jumps back.
Cop is looking to clinch but Kykkonen is avoiding it.
Cop misses with a hook. Kykkonen ducked under it nicely.
Cop staying out of range there.
Cop throws a head kick but Kykkonen moves out of range.
Kykkonen bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Cop's head.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Kykkonen throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kykkonen dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Cop tries to close the distance and clinch but Kykkonen swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
A head kick from Cop lands but Kykkonen takes it in his stride.
Mirko Cop seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kykkonen scores with a nice right hand.
BOOM! Kykkonen lands a beautiful left hook that drops Cop. Cop tries to recover but Kykkonen is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Cop lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sami Kykkonen!
