The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Khrapov Jr throws an overhand right that lands on Barrientos's shoulder, as Barrientos tries to avoid the shot.
Barrientos swings widly with a right hand
and Khrapov Jr counters with a nice uppercut.
A combination from Khrapov Jr does no damage.
Good standup being displayed there by Khrapov Jr as he connects with a hook.
Barrientos throws a good cross that connects.
Barrientos shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Khrapov Jr sprawls well. Khrapov Jr wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Barrientos gets slowly back to his feet.
Khrapov Jr throws out a counter right but Barrientos avoids it with no problem.
Barrientos ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Khrapov Jr moves away.
Barrientos throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Khrapov Jr scores with a crisp jab that stopped Barrientos in his tracks.
Barrientos on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Khrapov Jr throws a body shot but no joy.
Khrapov Jr walks into a straight right hand from Barrientos.

It looks like Vasily Khrapov Jr has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A left lands for Khrapov Jr.
Barrientos tries to score a power double leg takedown but Khrapov Jr sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Barrientos somewhat.
Khrapov Jr now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Barrientos misses with a body punch
and Khrapov Jr counters with a lovely straight right hand!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Khrapov Jr cracks Barrientos with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Khrapov Jr has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.
Khrapov Jr uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Barrientos.
Khrapov Jr gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Khrapov Jr tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Barrientos is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Khrapov Jr buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Khrapov Jr!! Khrapov Jr is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Barrientos throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rafe Barrientos!
