The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vazquez shoots in for a takedown but Barbosa shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

and Barbosa counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Alfredo Barbosa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joel Vazquez.

Vazquez steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Barbosa. That one must have hurt.
Vazquez is still on wobbly legs! Can Barbosa finish him?
Vazquez tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Barbosa throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! Vazquez crumples to the floor and the fight is over!
