Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Paul Gruel and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hilver moves into the clinch successfully.
Hilver lands with a light punch inside.
It looks like Denny George has been cut.
George manages to break the clinch.
Hilver moves into the clinch.
George escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hilver with a lazy takedown attempt
and George counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Hilver is lucky that one didn't land flush.
George slaps away a takedown attempt from Hilver, before circling back to the center of the mat.
George is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Hilver.

Denny George has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jojo Hilver.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
George moves into range and clinches up with Hilver.

George drops down looking for a counter takedown but Hilver sprawls and moves away.

George decides to stand up, so the ref orders Hilver to his feet.
Hilver lands a really nice looking cross but George seems unphased.
George fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hilver sprawls well initially but George persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
George could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

This has been an exciting period of action!
George is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Hilver drives through and clinches with George against the cage.

George has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Hilver utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Hilver has momentary wrist control but George slips an elbow through the middle.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells George's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

George postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Hilver is looking to sweep but instead, George has passed into half guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Denny George will probably get the nod.

Hilver throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around George's waist but George gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hilver off to one side.
The fight moves into the clinch position.

Hilver shoots in looking for a takedown but George manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Hilver's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Hilver dives in and grabs George's left leg, looking for a takedown. George pushes down on Hilver's head and hops out.
George throws a big counter combination but Hilver scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

George gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes.

George has got one arm under Hilver's chin. This could be trouble... Hilver trying to control the other hand but George gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Hilver has tapped out! The fight is over!
