PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Vito Roy (ranked 24812 p4p, 0 weight class) and Abdul Nabi (ranked 5439 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Abdul Nabi was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roy walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Roy displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Nabi throws out the jab.
Roy wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Roy takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Nice uppercut there from Roy.
Nabi lands with a straight right. Roy didn't see that one coming.
Nabi waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Roy.
Roy is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Nabi.

Nabi shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Nabi trying to control the position from guard on top but Roy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Nabi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Roy swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Nabi postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nabi looking to sit in guard and control but Roy gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Roy throws a sloppy strike and Nabi has hooked up an armbar on the loose arm! He's turned and extended fully! Roy is forced to tap! Great BJJ from Nabi!

After winning the bout, Abdul Nabi thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
