The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lorde changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Vincent tries to avoid it but Lorde manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Vincent to the ground. Vincent escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Lorde tries for a takedown but Vincent sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Lorde dives in for a single leg takedown but Vincent sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Chase Vincent has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Emanuel Lorde.
No joy there for Lorde, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Lorde bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Lorde tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Vincent defends well and Lorde ends up having to push Vincent into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Lorde shoots in looking for a takedown. Vincent tries to sprawl out of it but Lorde keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Vincent manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Lorde is pressed up against the cage. Vincent has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Lorde down to the mat. Lorde avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Vincent throws a big counter combination but Lorde scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Vincent seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Lorde throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Vincent's waist but Vincent gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lorde off to one side.

Lorde feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

That was a close second round but I would say that Chase Vincent will probably get the nod.
