Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Sergei Dronov and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shortega lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Trevino gets a clinch.
Trevino jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Shortega walks away with a smile on his face. Trevino gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Trevino really is a fat lump.
Shortega tries to clinch but Trevino is having none of it.
Shortega bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Trevino sneaks out the side door and pushes Shortega away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Shortega shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Trevino sprawls well. Trevino wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Shortega gets slowly back to his feet.
Shortega moves in looking to clinch but Trevino pushes him off.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Trevino fails to pull guard.
Trevino jumps guard.
Shortega throwing strikes but missing.

Shortega working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Trevino's head.

Shortega is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Trevino wants to get back to his feet but Shortega passes into half guard.
Trevino is trying to control but Shortega manages to pass to mount!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Trevino is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

Trevino might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Trevino is looking to improve his position but Shortega isn't that keen on the idea.
Trevino knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Shortega on the ground.

Shortega thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

Shortega avoids the attempt from Trevino to control.
Poor strikes thrown by Shortega there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Trevino is trying to escape the mount.
Trevino is working hard here to advance position.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Shortega cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Shortega lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Trevino hang on?
Trevino is squirming around, avoiding Shortega's attempts to control the action.
Shortega connects with a bit shot that sees Trevino covering up! More strikes from Shortega and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Shortega is our winner by TKO!
