Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lindsay Stokes (ranked 7393 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Zigrand (ranked 6069 p4p, 619 weight class). Zigrand comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Linkin Park - Never back down kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Daniel Zigrand has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Lindsay Stokes's chin.

The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Paul Aken and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zigrand fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Zigrand just misses with a punch to the body.
Zigrand has his takedown stuffed
and Stokes counters with a nice body shot.
Stokes throws a leg kick which misses Zigrand's front leg but catches the back leg as Zigrand tries to avoid it.
Zigrand tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Stokes defends well and Zigrand ends up having to push Stokes into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
It appears Stokes was looking to counter with a kick there.

Zigrand throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Horrible takedown attempt by Zigrand or perhaps it was just good defense by Stokes, which made it look bad.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Zigrand crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Stokes - the referee stops the clock and Zigrand gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Stokes. Zigrand manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

and Stokes counters with a one-two to the body.
Zigrand drops his hands momentarily and Stokes takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Zigrand throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Stokes's waist but Stokes gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Zigrand off to one side.
Stokes has closed the distance and engaged Zigrand in a clinch.
Zigrand goes for a takedown attempt but Stokes pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Stokes forces Zigrand back against the cage and clinches.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Stokes counters with a three punch combo that has Zigrand backing up. Zigrand nods at Stokes to acknowledge the strikes.
