The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wright throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Marcone's waist but Marcone gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Wright off to one side.

That was a close round but I would say that Alex Wright will probably get the nod.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Marcone counters with a crisp one two that drops Wright! Marcone thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Wright to his feet! Wright is in big trouble!

Marcone bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Marcone throws an overhand right that has Wright reeling! Marcone follows up with more punches and Wright is out cold! This one is all over!

After winning the bout, Manlio Marcone thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
Alex Wright was interviewed post fight and said 'When I sign a contract, I really want to give 180%. And if I can't give that, it's just not fair to the promotion and it's not fair to the fans and it's not fair to myself'.
