Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Yukimura Gomi (ranked 4967 p4p, 0 weight class) and Monsun Moon (ranked 3229 p4p, 0 weight class). Gomi comes to the cage accompanied by Peak Times by Switch. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

33 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Monsun Moon!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Sosuke Kotani and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gomi throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Moon counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Moon drives through with a takedown into Gomi's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gomi is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Moon slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Moon won't allow Gomi to get back to his feet.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Moon advances position into side control!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee asks Moon politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Moon prefers to stall for the moment though.
Moon working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Gomi's coaches at Cozad MMA Tokyo have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.

Moon lands a nice forearm strike.
Moon is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Gomi knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Moon connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Gomi some visible discomfort.
Moon is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Gomi is trying to escape and Moon transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Gomi is forced to tap! Nice work there by Moon! Very nice indeed!
