Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Vaso Bakocevic (ranked 5746 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edward Tonu (ranked 5588 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bakocevic looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Tonu is fending him off so far but Bakocevic persists. Nope, Tonu circles away and we're back to standing.

Bakocevic shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Tonu eats them both and turns towards Bakocevic to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Tonu is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Bakocevic's half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Tonu is trying to control the action in half guard but Bakocevic is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Tonu looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Bakocevic with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Tonu has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Tonu has hold of Bakocevic's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Bakocevic tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Tonu cranks the arm and Bakocevic screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Bakocevic, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
