The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lawson slaps away a takedown attempt from Slamenkov, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Lawson is looking for a counter combo.
Slamenkov closes the distance but Lawson moves to the side
and Lawson counters with a left and a right that stings Slamenkov.
Vladamir Slamenkov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lawson keeps the fight on the outside.
A jab-cross combination lands for Lawson and sends Slamenkov crashing to the mat! Lawson follows him down to the mat - Slamenkov regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

It looks like Vladamir Slamenkov has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lawson lands a big elbow - Slamenkov is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Lawson!
