The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pereira looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Nevez is fending him off so far but Pereira persists. Nope, Nevez circles away and we're back to standing.
Pereira misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Pereira is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Nevez to keep the fight standing.

Pereira misses with a takedown attempt - Nevez sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Pereira on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Nevez. Nevez obviously looking to wear him down.
Horrible takedown attempt by Pereira or perhaps it was just good defense by Nevez, which made it look bad.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Nevez.
Nevez moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Pereira wants to take the fight to the mat but Nevez manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Nevez! Pereira is out on his feet! Nevez rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Pereira is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Pereira is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
