Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jeff Gower (ranked 5755 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daquan Jones (ranked 5785 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Reed Andrews and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A right-left combo lands from Gower.
Jones has his takedown stuffed
and Gower counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Gower lands a slapping body shot.
Gower keeps the fight on the outside.
Gower jabs at Jones's body.
Jones tries to clinch
and Gower counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Gower lands a slapping body shot.
Gower stuffs the takedown attempt from Jones. Jones gets slowly back to his feet.
A quick step to the side and Gower tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Gower could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Jones throws a lazy head kick
and Jones takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Jones shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jones controlling the action here.

Let's hope that Jones has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Jones's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Gower tries to kick Jones off but Jones keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Jones is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Jones seems to be looking for submissions.
Jones moves into full mount! Gower won't be happy about that!

Gower is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Gower on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Gower tries to get out of the position.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Jones stands up from mount. Strange move.
Gower tries to clinch but Jones moves out of range.
Jones tries a low kick but Gower avoids it.
Jones is looking to clinch.
Jones shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Gower but Gower pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Jeff Gower has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Daquan Jones.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
A head kick misses from Jones.
Jones fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Gower sprawls well initially but Jones persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Gower pushes Jones off but Jones dives into side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Daquan Jones will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Gower misses with a jab, cross combination.
Gower lands a jab to Jones's midsection.
Gower tests Jones's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Jones swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Jones avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Jones takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Jones shoots in but no luck this time.
Jones takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Jones on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Gower. Gower obviously looking to wear him down.
Jones shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Gower sprawls well. Gower wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jones gets slowly back to his feet.
Jones shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Jones showed some decent athleticism there.
Gower wants to stand back up but Jones manages to pass into side control.

Gower is looking to regain half guard here but Jones keeps moving and retains side control.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Jones is staying tight to Gower's torso, preventing him from escaping.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jones stands up.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Jones.
Jeff Gower has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Daquan Jones.

Jones throws a head kick but Gower moves out of range.
Jones closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Gower is looking to get back to his feet here but Jones is keeping cool and he's managed to take Gower's back.
Jones is working for a rear naked choke. Gower is not defending it well and Jones has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Gower refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Gower's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:38 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Daquan Jones!
