Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Calvin Bass (ranked 24865 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lawson Ready (ranked 5691 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ready gets a clinch.
Ready pressing his opponent against the cage.
Ready is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Bass is defending well.
Ready tries to circle away but Bass has him pinned against the cage.
Bass tries to pull guard but Ready holds him up against the cage and eventually Bass drops back down to his feet.

Ready jumps guard and drags Bass to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Bass wants to control from the top but Ready keeps moving.

Ready is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Bass is aware though and is defending well.

Ready swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Bass could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Ready shoots in for a takedown but Bass shows good takedown defense.

Ready shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bass pinned against the cage. Bass gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
As Ready looks to move away, Bass throws a big counter combo but Ready just gets out of the way.

Ready clinches up against the cage.
Ready lands a body shot.
Ready is trying to push Bass away but Bass has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Bass will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Ready up against the cage.
Ready jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Bass walks away with a smile on his face. Ready gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Ready.
Ready scores with a one two! Bass had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Ready has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Ready fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bass avoids it really well and circles away.

Ready digs a right hand underneath Bass's ribcage. Bass let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Ready shoots in looking for a takedown. Bass tries to sprawl out of it but Ready keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bass manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

As Ready tries to get set, Bass tries to push him back and clinch up but Ready manages to avoid the attempt.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Ready. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Ready shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Bass sprawls well. Bass wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ready gets slowly back to his feet.

Well Ready has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
