Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Antony Owen (ranked 23725 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pak Yu (ranked 4070 p4p, 0 weight class). Pak Yu will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Antony Owen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Pak Yu!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yu throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Owen's head.
Yu looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Yu misses with a leg kick.

Owen moves into the clinch.
Owen scores with a knee to the head.
Yu tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Owen pulls guard successfully.
Owen trying to control the position here.
Owen bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Yu's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Owen slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Yu is looking to stand up but Owen isn't so interested in that idea.

Yu being controlled here, momentarily.
Owen seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Yu for as long as he can get away with.
Owen continues to stall.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Owen thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Owen is in close to Yu's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Owen's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Owen stands and throws Yu's legs to the side, diving into side control.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Owen decides to stand back up. Owen steps back and let's Yu get back to his feet.

Owen darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Yu pushes Owen off but Owen dives into side control.
You can see the frustration on Yu's face as Owen controls the position.

Owen thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Owen is working to tighten his grip on Yu's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Yu has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Owen is really squeezing tight and eventually Yu passes out! Owen breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
