PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Custavo Ramos (ranked 8017 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anthony Jonhson Jr (ranked 5888 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ramos goes for a double leg but Jonhson Jr avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Jonhson Jr continues to drive forward.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Ramos enables Jonhson Jr to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Ramos manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Jonhson Jr drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Ramos manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Jonhson Jr has Ramos in his guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ramos is striking off his back. Jonhson Jr thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Jonhson Jr is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Ramos with him. Ramos is trying to defend but Jonhson Jr has an arm under the chin now! Ramos grimaces and is forced to tap out!
