Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Neal Diaz (ranked 1669 p4p, 208 weight class) and Master Roshi (ranked 3296 p4p, 367 weight class). Neal Diaz has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Neal Diaz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Master Roshi!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Stewart Dunkirk and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roshi takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
A big left from Diaz misses.
Roshi drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Diaz defends it well.
Diaz takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Roshi is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
No joy there for Diaz, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
