Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matt Chiasson (ranked 4282 p4p, 546 weight class) and Mike Snow (ranked 3089 p4p, 429 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Matt Chiasson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 11 - 0, fighting out of London, Mike Snow!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Anthony Taglia and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Snow looks to throw the jab but Chiasson is out of range.
Mike Snow seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Chiasson uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Chiasson shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Snow napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Snow is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Chiasson's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Chiasson is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Snow defends it well.
Chiasson wants to pass the guard but Snow is defending well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Chiasson is thwarting Snow's attempts to control the position.

Chiasson looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Snow tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Snow is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Chiasson's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Chiasson's back!
Snow wants to control but Chiasson is keeping busy.
Chiasson manages to reverse the position and now he's in Snow's guard. Nice work there by Chiasson.

Snow is looking for a sweep. Chiasson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Chiasson is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Snow has managed to free his arm - good work.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Chiasson is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Chiasson is taking a breather. Snow says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

A punch lands to the side of Chiasson 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Snow shoots in but no luck this time.

We've been told by Chiasson's head coaches at Slaughterhouse that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Chiasson throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Snow tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Chiasson is in Snow's guard.
Snow has control of Chiasson's left arm, preventing Chiasson from doing any damage.
Chiasson pushes down on Snow's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Snow is trying to control but can't.
Chiasson wants to pass the guard but Snow is defending well.

Chiasson wants to free his trapped foot but Snow is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Chiasson decides to return to a standing position.
Snow tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Chiasson counters with a nice double leg into side control. Snow won't be happy with that.
Snow can't do much from the bottom here.
Snow might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Chiasson haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Chiasson advances nicely into full mount.

Snow is trying desperately to improve position.

Chiasson is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Snow has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Snow!

Snow trying to control the position from guard on top but Chiasson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Snow keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Chiasson's head.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Chiasson pulls Snow in close to prevent any damage.
Chiasson's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Snow throws a strike but Chiasson rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!



Chiasson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Chiasson showed some decent athleticism there.
Chiasson is trying to control. Snow wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Snow is looking to control Chiasson's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Snow avoid being mounted?
Matt Chiasson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Snow wants to sweep but Chiasson has passed to side control!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Chiasson remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Snow is not content to let Chiasson control the position.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Chiasson seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Snow for as long as he can get away with.
Chiasson postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Snow tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Chiasson presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Chiasson moves to the back position.
Chiasson tries to keep control of the position but Snow is staying busy.

The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Chiasson's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Snow is defending well here and trying to improve his position.

Chiasson wants to control but Snow manages to buck him off and is now in Chiasson's guard! Nice work there by Snow!
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Chiasson is on top in guard.

Snow looking for a sweep. Not yet Snow, not yet.
Mike Snow has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Snow wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Chiasson is now in half guard.
Snow is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Chiasson perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Chiasson prevents Snow from improving his position.
Snow is trying to control but can't.
Matt Chiasson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Chiasson takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Chiasson has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Chiasson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
