The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice body punch from Davis.
Davis scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Cooke doesn't seem bothered though.
Davis throws a looping overhand right but Cooke ducks down to avoid it.
Cooke is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Davis throws a hook to the side of Cooke's head but Cooke sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Cooke ducks under a wild hook from Davis.
Davis misses with an uppercut. Cooke saw that one coming.
Davis swings and misses with a hook to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Davis misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Cooke fails in his attempt to clinch.

Davis throws a body shot but no joy.
Davis jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Cooke looks to throw a body kick
and Davis counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Davis throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Cooke throws a big counter combination but Davis scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Cooke gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Cooke can't find room to land a body shot as Davis controls the action.

Cooke's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Davis missing with a left hand there. Cooke was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Cooke swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Davis bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Cooke's head backwards.
Davis throws a right and a left that both miss.
Some wild striking there from Davis.
Davis misses with a looping right.
Cooke changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Cooke is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Davis.

Cooke is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Davis drops Cooke with a huge uppercut! Cooke drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Davis is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
