PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Thunderfist (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and ethon crawford (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thunderfist comes to the cage accompanied by Mercy Drive-Burn in my Light. ethon crawford acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thunderfist shoots for a double leg takedown but crawford sprawls well. He's pushed Thunderfist's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Jeez, both these guys look absolutely knackered already, that's not a good sign!

Thunderfist feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Thunderfist drops back, looking for a kneebar! crawford looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. crawford looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from crawford!

Thunderfist is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. crawford defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Thunderfist had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. crawford is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Thunderfist Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take crawford's back instead.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Thunderfist isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. crawford stacks Thunderfist on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by crawford!

crawford is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Thunderfist working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. crawford doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. crawford manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Thunderfist will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
