Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fernando Pittman (ranked 25308 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robbie Walker (ranked 7801 p4p, 0 weight class). Robbie Walker will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Konstantin Menshow and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pittman closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Walker did well to prevent Pittman getting side control.
Pittman performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Walker wants to control but Pittman is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Pittman is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pittman content to control rather than advance.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Pittman is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Pittman's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pittman has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Pittman stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.

Walker slips a jab and a cross from Pittman.

Pittman changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Walker looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Walker tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Pittman wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Pittman seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Walker for as long as he can get away with.
Walker wants to control but Pittman postures up.

Pittman is trying to get an arm triangle but Walker is defending well.
The referee asks Pittman politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Pittman prefers to stall for the moment though.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
If it seems like I'm not saying a lot, it's just because Pittman is stinking the place up with his stalling.

Pittman darts in looking for a takedown but Walker gets double underhooks and turns Pittman into the cage.

Pittman feints and as Walker raises his hands in defense, Pittman changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Pittman lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Walker circles away quickly and effectively.

Walker closes the distance and clinches.
The referee is keeping an eye on Walker - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Pittman tries to score a body lock takedown but Walker shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Pittman's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Walker fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Pittman avoids it really well and circles away.

Pittman closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Walker to the mat! Walker manages to get full guard.
Pittman slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Pittman won't allow Walker to sweep him here.
Pittman is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Walker can do to turn this around?

Walker is looking to get back to his feet here but Pittman is keeping cool and he's managed to take Walker's back.

Pittman just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

Pittman continues to stall.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Pittman is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Walker knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Walker for a finish.
A bit of a pause in the action here. Pittman controlling the positon.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.



Pittman feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Pittman is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Pittman stands and steps away. Walker gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Walker moves into the clinch successfully.

Pittman pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Pittman throws a big counter combination but Walker scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Walker takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Pittman slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
More hug and hope from Pittman.

Pittman bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Pittman stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Walker gets caught flat footed, as Pittman shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Pittman closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Walker's guard.

Walker is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Pittman is aware though and is defending well.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Pittman, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
