Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Shawn Griffin (ranked 2595 p4p, 297 weight class) and Mason Walsh (ranked 23775 p4p, 677 weight class). Griffin's entrance music is Medicate - Flaw. A fine choice. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Frank Dennis and George Francis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Griffin darts in looking for a takedown but Walsh gets double underhooks and turns Griffin into the cage.
Walsh tries to close the distance and clinch but Griffin swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Griffin seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Walsh is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Griffin stands up over Walsh, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Walsh can do anything to dispel that myth.
Griffin is looking to work some ground and pound but Walsh has wrist control.

Griffin stands up over Walsh, holding on to his feet. Griffin throws the legs to one side and dives in with a huge shot that lands flush on the chin! Walsh is out cold! Griffin lands a couple more shots and the ref tackles him out of the way! What a brutal finish!
