The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Byrd keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Grena.
Grena displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Byrd throws out the jab.
Byrd looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Grena misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Byrd misses with a hook. Grena ducked under it nicely.
Byrd throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Umberto Grena decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
